Construction of a wastewater treatment plant.

This intermunicipal plant reorganises all of the sanitation for the municipalities of Pignan, Saussan and Fabrègues, to allow their development and improve environmental protection.

The three municipalities are therefore connected via a 3.9 km transport network.

This plant has a capacity of 30,000 population equivalent and comprises a biological wastewater treatment system with very high performance purification through filtering and ultra-violet radiation. The treated water is discharged into the Coulazou, a tributary of the Mosson. During the summer this will contribute to ensuring a sufficient water level and flow for aquatic organisms.
